Regional Aspects of Electoral Behavior in Slovakia
Geography Olympiad (3rd Place, National Level)
  • Statistical analysis of voting patterns across 79 districts; interpreted 240+ Pearson correlation coefficients linking vote share to socio-demographic variables; built 2 parallel samples to control for ethnic confounding
  • Extended into an interactive Power BI dashboard featuring TopoJSON mapping, automated demographic correlations, and time-series analysis
Otherness in Schools
SOČ – Student Research Competition (Sociology; 1st Place, National Level)
  • Designed and ran independent survey research on student attitudes toward minority groups; built a dataset of 1,039 valid responses across 48 schools; applied descriptive statistical analysis and manual qualitative coding of open-ended responses

Competitions

Nitor Energy Intraday Trading Competition 2026 GitHub
  • Built an ensemble forecasting pipeline (XGBoost + LightGBM) to predict electricity prices from weather and market data; engineered domain-driven features; validated with a time-series CV to prevent data leakage
  • Placed top 10 based on RMSE on the public leaderboard
AUHack 2026 – Energy Market Dashboard GitHub
  • 48-hour hackathon team project; automated data pipeline to process weather and spot-price data, deployed via FastAPI and integrated with a React dashboard
  • Personal main focus on an XGBoost multi-regressor to forecast European electricity prices and LightGBM micro-models to simulate grid shocks
DigiEduHack 2025 Bratislava – AI Proficiency
  • Placed 3rd in the team hackathon organized by the Slovak Ministry of Education, focused on improving AI proficiency for everyone
  • Proposed an e-learning platform built around a nationwide competition to teach Slovak students about AI, and built simple demos
European Statistics Competition
  • Placed 3rd, National Level with a 6-year statistical analysis of Slovak internet-adoption data across region, gender, and age
